London Fashion Week saw a short film about the inspiration of designer Roland Mouret premiered, without becoming a blatant showcase for his clothes.

Premiered at a special event on Friday, the first day of London Fashion Week, the film is the first directed by TV and ad director Lee Ford for Mouret, who is best known for his ‘Galaxy’ dress worn by Cameron Diaz, Carey Mulligan and Rachel Weisz.

Instead of his collection, the film highlights what has inspired Mouret, and featured actor Geoff Bell as a butcher, after the designer’s father who used to fold over his apron to cover the blood stains, who he has cited as a big influence on his work.

The video was produced by Barry Hughes at Stable, edited by Edward Line and post-produced by Munky London.
