A sausage peacekeeper with a dove for an accomplice are the stars of a new Richmond sausage ad, created by Saatchi & Saatchi.

The ad, which launched at the weekend, shows the ‘Richmond Peacekeeper’ looking to stop children being disappointed at dinner time by suggesting the ‘no bit texture’ Richmond Sausages.

The peacekeeper cooks sausages on his portable stove for a family before moseying off to help out the next family in danger of food squabbles.

April Redmond, chief marketing officer at Richmond owner Kerry Foods said: "Richmond is a tasty, succulent sausage loved by the whole family. In fact, Mums tell us that Richmond night is one of the most peaceful, happy nights of the week because everyone, from the oldest to the youngest, just loves the taste.

“Saatchi & Saatchi have helped us bring this brand benefit to life in an entertaining and original way; and we are hopeful that this advertising will help us grow the brand and bring the great taste of Richmond to more British families."

This was the first ad created for the brand by Saatchi & Saatchi, after being awarded the account last year.
