Swatch UK and Lacoste have appointed Shine Communications to promote their range of products ahead of London Fashion Week (LFW), which kicks off today (14 February).

Swatch appoints Shine to handle UK promotion

French brand Lacoste has tasked Shine with promoting its range of footwear in the UK, in addition to developing and co-ordinating its global strategy.

The account has already begun with the creation of ‘toolkits’ which feature ‘fashion influencers’ wearing Lacoste footwear at both New York and London Fashion Weeks.

Meanwhile, Swatch UK has recruited Shine to push its partnership with the British Fashion Council, the team behind LFW. Plans include an experiential project at London Fashion Week named the ‘Swatch Sweet Shop’ which will promote the new Swatch Pastry Chefs collection.

The ‘shop’ will be offering specially created sweets, with recipes designed to help visitors ‘survive’ Fashion Week. The activity will be accompanied by content created in partnership with fashion blogger, Navaz of DisneyRollerGirl.

Lawrence Collis, managing director at Shine Communications said: “We have a great heritage of successful fashion campaigns at Shine and couldn’t be happier to add Swatch and Lacoste to our growing list of clients.

“Experiential, content creation and international coordination have all been areas of growth for Shine over the past year so we are delighted to be able to bring our experience and expertise in these areas to two new clients.”

Lacoste and Swatch join the likes of Clarks, COS and Frends in the Shine fashion and lifestyle division, along with GHD which Shine is taking to London Fashion Week for the eight consecutive season.
