This might just be the finest riposte yet to Winter Olympics host Russia's widely condemned attitudes towards homosexuality.

The Canadian Institute of Diversity and Inclusion goes straight to the top of this week's Viral Video Chart with its ingenious advert showing how the Winter Olympics 'have always been a little bit gay'.

The 32-second spot, set to the Human League's 'Don't you want me', shows two men in black spandex limbering up for the doubles luge run by rocking back and forth against each other.

The ad, which has been shared almost 80,000 times, ends with the line: "The games have always been a little bit gay. Let's fight to keep them that way."

In a similar vein Channel 4's Gay Mountain ad, wishing 'good luck to everyone out in Sochi', takes bronze spot in this week's chart after being shared more than 40,000 times.
