People On The Move: Britt Rigoni joins Blue Marlin, Jennifer Jorgenson joins General Mills, and Buzzfeed grows its UK team

RadiumOne has appointed Mark Middlemas to take up the role of director of communications across Europe. Joining from IPG Mediabrands UK, where he held the role of director of marketing and business development, Middlemas has been tasked to position RadiumOne’s partnership programme with large and small agencies from across the marketing spectrum.

Live & Breathe has appointed Viv Craske as head of digital, as the agency looks to broaden its digital capabilities. Craske joins from Digital Marketing Blueprint, a full-service Facebook marketing agency that he founded, and in his new role will report into Live & Breathe MD Nick Gray.

Buzzfeed is growing its UK team, with the addition of Richard James as UK news editor. James, who joins from his role of online editor at Metro.co.uk will be responsible for writing and commissioning daily news stories including scoops and trending pieces.

Fashion brand Burberry has recruited the chief executive of BSkyB, Jeremy Darroch, to join its board as a non-executive director. Darroch will be tasked with harnessing his media credentials to bolster the brands social media and online presence in a bid to boost growth.

General Mills has named Jennifer Jorgensen as its new marketing director. Jorgensen joined General Mills’s US business in a finance role 1995 from Deloitte & Touche, four years later she moved to marketing and most recently held the role of marketing director for General Mills Small Planet Foods business in the US. The new role sees Jorgensen take responsibility for building the success of General Mills’ UK, Ireland and Nordic portfolio, which includes Häagen-Dazs, Old El Paso, Green Giant, Betty Crocker, Nature Valley and Jus-Rol.

Bluemarlin has hired Britt Rigoni as client service director for the Australian market. Notable projects Rigoni has worked on include the launch of Garnier into the Australian market, the rebrand of National Australia Bank, and packaging redesigns for HJ Heinz Australia, Cadbury Baking Chocolate, and Nature’s Own. In 2011, she served as business director of Cowan Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City, giving her insights into the Asian market and the roles brands play there.

Momentum Worldwide has promoted Luke D’Arcy to become global chief marketing officer, succeeding Kevin McNulty who was recently named president international.

SapientNitro client services director Gary Shannon has joined Tribal Worldwide in the newly created role of managing partner. Shannon takes up the role with immediate effect and will work alongside managing director Tom Roberts and executive creative director Simon Poett. As managing partner Shannon is tasked with working across Tribal Worldwide, London's key accounts such as O2, Morrisons, Diageo and Unilever.

Publishers’ programmatic advertising platform PubMatic has appointed former head of global brand marketing at Microsoft Advertising Terri Walter as chief marketing officer. Prior to her role at Microsoft, Walter served as global vice president, emerging media at Razorfish and vice president of marketing at DoubleClick. She has been in the marketing sector for 20 years.

Rob Connolly 360i London managing director has been promoted to the role of 360i London and Steak London CEO with immediate effect.

Havas Media has appointed Amanda Pitt to the role of managing partner for new business and marketing, replacing Debra Isaacson who left the agency at the end of last year. Pitt joins Havas Media from headhunting agency, The Lighthouse Company, where she held the role of head of publisher and media searches. Prior to The Lighthouse Company, Pitt held roles at Haymarket and the BBC.

Viacom’s former vice president, international sales, Liz Nunn has joined CNN Ad Sales as it boosts its commitment to the UK market. Nunn takes on the role of head of ad sales for the UK at CNN International, tasked with leading the network’s advertising sales in the UK, the Netherlands and Finland.

Proximity has hired John Vinton from AIS London. He joins the agency as creative partner.
