Motorola Mobility CEO Dennis Woodside to join Dropbox as COO
Dropbox, the cloud storage company, has anointed Motorola Mobility’s CEO Dennis Woodside to its team.
Woodside will become the first chief operating officer for Dropbox, while Jonathan Rosenberg, formerly head of product management at Google, will take over Woodside’s role at Motorola Mobility.
Lenovo, which bought Motorola Mobility for $2.9bn in January, told Reuters it was “aware of this change” in leadership, but insisted “we are absolutely committed to this acquisition, and remain completely confident in the Google and Motorola leadership team”.
This comes days after Google revealed that it was buying a six per cent share in Lenovo for $750m.
