Guinness World Records partners with Festival of Media to celebrate record-breaking brands
Guinness World Records is set to run a series of awards through its partnership with Festival of Media to recognise record breaking brands.
The partnership will see the creation of a special category within the Festival of Media awards during its three events this year in Rome, Miami and Singapore, that will celebrate record-breaking media campaigns.
The shortlist for the first award, chosen by a panel of judges, includes campaigns for Procter & Gamble, Fiji Airways, Konica, Phillips and Encyclopaedia Britannica.
Voting for the award opens on the 13 February until 6 March with the winner set to be named at the awards ceremony on 18 March in Singapore.
Alistair Richards, global president of Guinness World Records, said: "We are proud to have worked with the world’s leading brands to capture the power of record-breaking for their businesses. With Festival of Media, and its global award series, we are pleased to recognise our record holders who use Guinness World Records achievements in ever-more creative, innovative media campaigns. All those on the shortlist are deserving of the accolade, but it is up to the industry to determine which campaign will walk away with the award.”
