Deer Digital re-brands as Tide following acquisition that saved agency from closure

Digital agency Deer Digital, which was saved from closure last year, has undergone a rebrand since its acquisition by the Urquhart Partnership and taken on the name Tide.

A fresh website will be developed over the coming weeks to allow the team of five employees to demonstrate their digital abilities.

The Aberdeen-based agency was acquired in September last year just days after announcing plans for immediate closure because of cash flow problems. HR, training and recruitment consultancy The Urquhart Partnership stepped in to take over the business, although staffing levels were cut from 13 to five.

Campbell Urquhart, managing director of The Urquhart Partnership and Tide, said: “After hearing the very disappointing news of their proposed office closure, we immediately saw an opportunity to help them turn the situation around through some restructuring of the business, leading to the re-employment of a core team and through combining both organisations’ skills, expertise and capabilities.

“Having worked with the team for a few months now, we are thrilled to see how quickly the situation has turned around and are excited for the launch of the new brand and Tide’s growth in the coming year.”
