TSB the so-called challenger bank currently in process of being demerged from Lloyds Banking Group, is to launch its first multi-million pound TV advertising campaign to announce its arrival in the sector.

Launching on ITV tonight the campaign will invite viewers to compare the differences between it and other High Street banks by looking at where their money ends up – as TSB foregoes using its own investment bank, refuses to lend to big business and keeps all of its money within the UK.

Launched in September TSB is attempting to introduce a more ethical business model which will see it use deposit solely for the benefit of other customers.

The campaign will build upon TSB’s billboard and print-based ‘local bank’ campaign which communicates how money is kept within local communities by following the cycle of money around one small town.
