Tesco Direct has unveiled a new web presence, created with DigitasLBI, as the company looks to create a fully responsive web presence, in order to offer customers a consistent, optimised experience.

The responsive design approach looks to reflect the view that websites should respond to the user’s behaviour and environment based on screen size, platform and orientation.

Natalie Burrows, director of customer experience and product development at Tesco Direct, said: “We’ve seen a huge increase in the number of customers accessing Tesco Direct via mobile, tablet and in-store devices, and we want our customers to have a great experience no matter how and where they choose to shop with us. Results so far have exceeded our expectations and we are working hard to improve our offer even more over the year.”

The Tesco Direct site is now fully responsive across desktop, mobile, tablet and in-store channels.

Ilicco Elia, head of mobile at DigitasLBi, added: “The new web presence we’ve created with Tesco Direct will not only allow the business to provide a seamless experience for customers across all devices, but will also offer a scalable, future-proofed solution that supports ambitious growth plans.”
