LinkedIn EE Future Thinking

EE launches business and tech microsite powered by LinkedIn for professionals and entrepreneurs

LinkedIn is hosting an interactive microsite called ‘Future Thinking’ from EE, an initiative offering news and advice for the business and technology sectors in Britain, in the first collaboration of its kind in the UK.

Users can log in to Future Thinking using their LinkedIn details and receive personalised, relevant editorial content. In addition, EE is providing a panel of experts and ‘independent external thought leaders’ to create editorial and video content, as well as provide the target audience of business users and entrepreneurs with advice.

EE has also teamed up with media outlets including The Economist and The Telegraph which will allow the brand to pull in relevant articles from the titles. The agreements were brokered by MEC.

Spencer McHugh, EE director of brand, said: “When developing the Future Thinking hub, we felt it was crucial for this audience that we tailor the content and experience to each user.

“Thanks to the LinkedIn functionality we can recognise if they are a small or corporate business, for example, and therefore populate their feed with relevant and hopefully inspiring information based on their needs.”

Josh Graff, director, LinkedIn Marketing Solutions EMEA, added: “EE’s new content hub is a great example of a brand delivering real value to its audience through relevant content.

“In a technology-dominated economy, EE has created a single source of insights into the future of technology for business owners and IT professionals, helping them prepare for and succeed in the future.”

EE will use its social media channels to promote the hub alongside activity with LinkedIn which will include roadblocks, follower ads and sponsored content.
