People On The Move: Bridget Beale made BIMA MD, Frederick Bonn goes to New York for JWT and EY appoints brand leader

The British Interactive Media Association (BIMA) has appointed Bridget Beale as its first ever managing director. Beale, who has been promoted from her former BIMA role as events and marketing manager, will now be responsible for leading an “ambitious” growth programme, to stay ahead of the growth in the online advertising sector, now worth £6bn annually.

Price comparison website MoneySupermarket.com has announced that Bruce Carnegie-Brown will be appointed as its new chairman on 23 April when the incumbent, Gerald Corbett, is due to stand down. Carnegie-Brown has been with the company since April 2010, serving as an independent, non-executive director and chairing the remuneration committee of the board since January 2013.

JWT New York has appointed Frederic Bonn as king of digital. His actual title is Executive Creative Director and he will be charged with overseeing digital creative across the agency’s flagship New York office. Bonn joins JWT from Razorfish New York.

WPP shopper activation agency Geometry Global has named Adrian Nicholls as its new UK head of digital. Formerly on the board of CMW, Nicholls has also held roles with DraftFCB, GoodTechnology and Glue London. The role sees Nicholls tasked with handling the agency’s digital work and embedding it into Geometry Global’s wider omichannel proposition.

Carat UK has promoted Matthew Hook to managing director, the agency has announced, with current head of planning Dan Hagen moving to take over his chief strategy officer role. Hook will work closely with the head of UK Dentsu Aegis Network brands including iProspect, Isobar and Data2Decisions to further collaboration, and he will report to CEO of Carat UK, Tracy De Goose.

Mindshare has announced the Nilufar Fowler has been made the new global lead for the Unilever planning and buying account, taking over from David Pullan who takes on the new roles of head of Mindshare’s New York office and chair of the global Unilever ExCo at Mindshare. Currently head of Mindshare Thailand, Fowler has worked with Team Unilever most recently as client lead for Unilever Thailand, and prior to that, as communications planning director in the global Unilever team.

BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra have appointed social media producers to handle the Twitter, Facebook and other social activity for the stations. Starting from February, Charlotte Greenman – who currently works on BBC's EastEnders’ social media team – will become social media producer for BBC Radio 1.Alex Manzi, co-founder and editor of independent music website We Are SME will begin work for BBC 1Xtra at the same time.

Skrill, the online payments company, has appointed Steve Revill as vice president of marketing. Revill joins Skrill from Positive Momentum, a consultancy specialising in strategy, sales, service, marketing, leadership, talent, operations and process.

EY, the rebranded entity of Ernst & Young, has appointed John Rudaizky as brand and external communications leader. Rudaizky joins from WPP, where he held the roles of CEO for team GSK and Vodafone.

Nile, the service and experience design firm, has appointed Jessica Mullen as director of client services as the company looks to grow. Mullen joins from the role of client services director at Realise Digital, where she worked with clients such as Lloyds Banking Group, AXA UK and Channel 4.

Former global digital lead at Draftfcb Martin Talks has joined the advisory board of global mobile research company Liveminds. Liveminds most recent work includes enabling video research via mobile apps for brands such as the BBC and Akzo Nobel.

Publicis Groupe’s customer engagement agency Rosetta announced today that Peter Kang has joined the agency as executive creative director. Kang joins Rosetta from Digital Kitchen in Los Angeles, where he held the same role.

Alex Lubar, CMO of McCann Erickson’s North American division, has been promoted to global CMO of McCann Worldwide – a new position introduced with immediate effect. Lubar was instrumental in a number of recent client wins for McCann’s in the region, notably the United States Postal Service, Lockheed Martin, Zurich Insurance, SABIC, Jose Cuervo, the American Frozen Food Institute and Ignite Restaurant Group.

Primesight has appointed of Andy Goldsmith as agency sales director, where he will lead the promotion of Primesight. Joining Primesight from Global Radio, Goldsmith previously led the Omnicom team there as agency director.

Wonder Stuff Studio has appointed Mark Pattinson to its team as senior creative, as the agency worked with brands such as Channel 4, the NHS and Barnardo’s last year. Pattinson previously worked at FutureBrand, where he dealt with brands such as British Airways, Hugo Boss, Levi and Pantene.

Google has appointed MediaCom’s head of biddable media Andy Mihalop to the role of industry head for Insurance.

WorldPay has appointed James Frost, previously of Nectar, as chief marketing officer for the UK. In his new role for the global payments provider, Frost will have responsibility for the development and management of all marketing across the UK and Ireland, from sole traders to the largest corporations.

Jon Biggs has been named as the new creative director at MediaMonks London office, joining from production studio Specialmoves. The appointment sees Biggs aim to reinforce the communication of creative ideas between MediaMonks’ agency-client and the digital production process.

Cogent Elliott has appointed Lucy Hudson in the role of business unit director, as the agency opens its London office. Hudson joins from Karmarama where she led the Costa Coffee account, and will report to Cogent Elliott CEO, Mike Phillipson.

Stefan Bardega has joined ZenithOptimedia s its global chief digital officer. He joins from Mediacom, where he was head of digital and managing partner.

Ben Kerr and Mark Rivers have joined production company Something Else, as executive creative director and head of content respectively. Both join from Omnicom’s content agency Drum.

Greg Hemes has joined 18 Feet and Rising as its executive head of production, joining the firm from Saatchi & Saatchi.
