WorldPay has appointed James Frost, previously of Nectar, as chief marketing officer for the UK.

In his new role for the global payments provider, Frost will have responsibility for the development and management of all marketing across the UK and Ireland, from sole traders to the largest corporations.

"WorldPay is redefining the payments market and what businesses should expect from these providers,” Frost said. “Historically banks lacked innovation in this space and as a truly independent provider with a clear strategy we’re putting the customer at the heart of everything we do.”

Frost joins from the role of marketing director at Nectar, where he was accountable for customer marketing, partnership marketing, web and social media, public relations and strategic planning departments.

Prior to this, he was in charge of brand communications and innovations for a European brand at Unilever.
