McCann Worldgroup appoints Alex Lubar as global CMO

Alex Lubar, CMO of McCann Erickson’s North American division, has been promoted to global CMO of McCann Worldwide – a new position introduced with immediate effect.

Lubar was instrumental in a number of recent client wins for McCann’s in the region, notably the United States Postal Service, Lockheed Martin, Zurich Insurance, SABIC, Jose Cuervo, the American Frozen Food Institute and Ignite Restaurant Group.

Commenting on the promotion Harris Diamond, chairman and chief executive officer of McCann Worldgroup, said: “What makes Alex so effective in business development, in addition to tenacity, is that he relishes the complexity of brand challenges in today’s complex business environment and he knows how to harness resources to create innovative multiplatform solutions. ”

The management shake-up dovetails with the appointment of Chioma Aduba who is joining McCann’s New York agency from Grey, where she won or defended over a dozen pitches, as new business group director.
