Fury as Grammys performance featuring Nine Inch Nails and Queens of the Stone Age cut due to ad break
Nine Inch Nails star Trent Reznor has said ‘F-ck you’ to the organisers of the Grammys after his band was ‘disrespected’, as they closed the show with Queens of the Stone Age, Dave Grohl and Fleetwood Mac's Lindsey Buckingham. The US transmission of the performance was cut off to go into an ad break, to the chagrin of both the performers and the audience.
Music's biggest night... to be disrespected. A heartfelt FUCK YOU guys.
— Trent Reznor (@trent_reznor) January 27, 2014Reznor was not the only band member to take to Twitter to voice his annoyance. Bandmate Alessandro Cortini called the snub ‘unbelievable’.Hey @TheGRAMMYs : Way to say fuck you to great music by putting commercials over @qotsa ...unbelievable.

This was the 56th Grammys, and was broadcast on CBS in the US and 4Music in the UK.Described by CBS as ‘one of the highest-rated and most-watched specials’, the show drew in 28.3 million viewers last year.Advertisers included Pepsi, Red Bull and Cover Girl, with advertising space reportedly costing up to $1m for each 30 second slot. No wonder the Grammies is 3 1/2 hours long, they have a commercial break every 4 minutes! #stupid #annoying #GRAMMYs
