Zuckerberg's new car: Golf GTI six-speed stickshift comes with a gift from those switched-on guys at VW
The world's wealthiest young man - Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook, $19 billion and counting - has a new car. It's the new Mark 6 Golf GTI with six-speed manual transmission. And it comes with a gift from Volkswagen. No, not the actual price of around $30,000.
It's a bit of 2014 fashion chic the team at VW thought the youthful CEO would appreciate
As for the car, Digital Trends joked : " That’s right; his car is so basic, it doesn’t even shift itself."
"When the fine folks and VW heard about his choice , they were rather pleased with Zuckerberg’s decision, as you might understand," says the report. " They decided to send him a present."

Zuckerberg wasn't saying much about the car but Volkswagen call the car the Driver's edition " Built for our most dedicated drivers." And with 0-60mph in 6.8 seconds it's clearly a car the driver will have a lot of fun with, pounding through the gears. And then there's the T-shirt with a diagram of that gearshift with the slogan, "Shift like no other."
