Sony Pictures Entertainment acquires the big-screen rights to Facebook director Sheryl Sandberg's bestseller
Sony Pictures Entertainment has reportedly acquired the rights to Facebook chief Sheryl Sandberg's bestselling book 'Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead', with plans to adapt the book for the big screen.
Nell Scovell, who worked on the book with Sandberg, is apparently on board to help write the script, with the film's plot set to focus on the themes raised in the book.
This follows Sony's adaptation of Ben Merzich's 'The Accidental Billionaires', which told the story of Facebook founder Mark Zukerberg, into the Academy Award-nominated 'The Social Network'.
Sandberg's fee for the project is believed to have been donated to her Lean In Foundation.
