Carmex has launched an online promotion that gives Facebook fans the opportunity to instantly win a free pot of Carmex by breaking virtual glass.

The Facebook application, created by whynot, will be live for three weeks with users having to like the page in order to enter.

Joanna Marston, marketing manager at Grafton International, said: “We are excited about this digital sampling campaign which helps consumers to win Carmex, the best lip balm to tackle chapped lips in the coldest months of the year. We hope to see a great engagement from our loyal digital community plus we hope to win over new Carmex fans.”

Fans are invited to try to break the glass, with those who succeed winning a free tub of Carmex. In total, 500 pots are up for grabs and those that don¹t win can come back every 24 hours to try their luck again.

Nick Whitehurst, CEO at whynot, said: “We’re really excited to launch our first campaign with Carmex to help them drive brand awareness through social media and word of mouth. We look forward to seeing some fantastic results."

The campaign will be promoted through online outreach, social advertising and email marketing.
