Vizeum promotes Patrick Affleck to global head of innovation

Vizeum has promoted Patrick Affleck to become global head of innovation, a newly created role for the Dentsu Aegis agency.

Since 2008, Affleck has led digital strategy at Vizeum UK as managing partner, working across clients including 20th Century Fox, AB InBev, Burberry, BMW, Heinz, IKEA, MINI and Panasonic.

In his new role he will report to global president Thomas Le Thierry and has been tasked with driving the agency’s digital strategic thinking and innovation.

“At Vizeum, we believe that the new world of convergence opens an ocean of opportunities where innovation transforms media into a business asset. Having a visionary leader to lead innovation globally will be transformational for us,” Le Thierry said. “Patrick’s background, track record and recent client work on Burberry, Heinz and BMW talks for itself. The innovation practice he leads is incredibly ambitious, and we’re delighted to have him with us at the top of the agency.”

Additionally, in the UK Vizeum has named Chrissy Totty as head of innovation.

Totty has become responsible leading the newly created Vizeum Connected team, made up of technologists, digital experts and creative planners.
