Tim Bax has joined digital marketing agency iCrossing as its first creative director, a move which the agency hopes will “develop the kind of collaborative creative work that is the key to effective marketing communications”.

Bax, who left Proximity London BBDO, where he was head of content, has been tasked with integrating the agency’s existing content, design, social and user experience teams into a single creative department.

Mark Iremonger, chief strategy officer at iCrossing, explained the restructure at the agency and the role Bax will play. He said: "This move is about developing the kind of collaborative creative work that is the key to effective marketing communications. Editors, social media content specialists, conceptual creatives, visual designers, copywriters and user experience experts are being brought together under one leader for the first time at iCrossing.

“Tim has a unique blend of creative, content and copy experience that is a perfect fit for us. He will help us flex our creative muscles in new ways and we're excited about this.”

Bax assumes responsibilities in February and will be supported by Marc Belle, who was recently promoted from head of art and design to associate creative director.
