Ogilvy Common Health Asia Pacific has appointed Dr Robert Liversage as its director of scientific & editorial services in its Australia office.

He takes up his newly created role from a background of working within the editorial departments of Australian medical communications businesses and healthcare advertising agencies “writing within the pharmaceutical space”.

His role gives him responsibility for content development, scientific council and medical advice across all areas of the business.

"He has a solid track record and a reputation as one of the best in the business,” said Gary Pattison, Ogilvy Common Health group managing director in Australia.

“At OCHAP we have spent the last 6-8 months looking carefully at our business, our structure and how we add value to our clients brands in this ever-changing world of health and wellness.

“We live and breath change here - we never stand still. We must offer excellence in client service and creative ideation of course - but none of this matters if you get the science wrong. Rob is a key hire in this respect as we plan for the future of the business and the future of our clients business."

Rohit Sahgal, Asia Pacific director for Ogilvy Common Health Asia Pacific said: "Staying one step ahead is a tradition at Ogilvy, and doing that in the area of scientific innovation has been a key part of a multi-faceted specialist strategy. Rob's appointment reinforces our commitment to providing cutting edge solutions and building enduring client partnerships."

Liversage obtained his pharmaceutical education in Leeds, UK.
