Vocational education organisation City & Guilds has announced the appointment of 1DA as its lead international creative agency.

1DA has been briefed to align City & Guilds’ global communications under one positioning, targeting education institutions and governments across the globe.

Russell Pocock, international product and marketing director at City & Guilds, said: “1DA has been our agency of record in the UK for some time and we are pleased that they are now supporting us internationally, as we seek to align our offering on a global stage.”

A 12-month international campaign is being devised, and will launch with a first instalment later this month, initially across five markets.

“We are looking forward to launching the first part of our 12-month campaign as part of the on-going work to align City & Guilds global communications.” Tom McJennett, managing partner of 1DA, added.

This is the first time City & Guilds is using an agency on a global level.
