BGL Group puts £300m media account up for review
The BGL Group has announced a review of its £300m media agency account and is seeking pitches that will incorporate services including UK comparison site comparethemarket.com.

Current incumbent agency ZenithOptimedia retained the media account with BGL in 2010 following a review and will take part in the new pitch process.
A statement said the BGL Group had “significantly invested” in both its UK and international business and was looking for pitches to incorporate other insurance brands lesfurets.com, verzekeringsite.nl, Bennetts and Beagle Street.
Kal Atwal, group director of brand-led businesses, said: “We are in the unusual and fortunate position that there is enormous potential for growth in every market where we operate.
“Given the success of our UK businesses and continues investment into Europe, now is the right time to review our current media partner to ensure we maximise future market opportunities.”
The pitch process will be led by Atwal and comparethemarket.com’s marketing director, Mark Vile.
