Viral Video Chart 9 Jan: P&G's Winter Olympics tearjerker beats Old Spice to top spot

Procter & Gamble has taken the top spot in our first Viral Video Chart of 2014 with a Winter Olympics themed ad from its heart-tugging Thank You, Mom campaign.

The new spot shows the sacrifice and struggles that young athletes put themselves through to get to Sochi 14, and tells the story of how their mums helped pick them back up from setbacks along the way.

With just over 40,000 social shares, it's the most viral brand video this week - meaning that the new effort from perennial viral chart favourite Old Spice has to settle for second place.
