The Scottish Sun may not have the last word but is has earned itself the first word courtesy of a new film, premiered last night, which seeks to sum up how good 2014 is going to be.

Produced by The Gate Films ‘Scotland 2014 – Year We Go!’ attempts to rustle up a vocabulary appropriate to one of the most important year’s in Scotland’s history

It dovetails with a social media campaign on Twitter, using the hashtag #yearwego, which exhorts people to participate in the debate by submitting their own words to describe the year.

Suggestions included in the one minute long piece include ‘dance’, ‘strut’, ‘wait’, ‘jump, ‘punch’, ‘hug’, ‘race’, pump and ‘gasp’.
