People on the Move: Apple appoints new agency head, Jon Wilkins joins Karmarama and McCann hires Rob Reilly

Apple has appointed Aegis Media’s Charlie McGee to the role of head of agency partnerships for Europe. McGee, who was previously group trading director at Aegis Media in the UK, is understood to have joined the sales team of Apple’s mobile advertising network iAd.

Kia has named former Volkswagen marketer, Mark Hopkins, as its new marketing director. Hopkins replaces Lawrence Hamilton – who stepped down from the role to join Toyota.

Bartle Bogle Hegarty has appointed Caroline Pay as managing partner/head of creative development. She returns to the agency having undertaken a stint there for three years in 2005.

Jon Wilkins who left Naked, the agency he co-founded, in November, has joined Karmarama as executive chairman. He replaces Nicola Mendelsohn.

Harvey Nichols has revealed that former chief financial officer and executive vice president of Burberry Group, Stacey Cartwright, will be joining the department store as its new CEO, replacing Joseph Wan who retires after 21 years at the helm in March 2014.

Taxi Studio has appointed Steve Burden as creative director. Joining Taxi Studio from this month Burden has consulted all over the world for the likes of WPP, Fitch and Interbrand, working with Vodafone, BP, Harrods and Qatar Airways.

Realise has announced the appointment of Justin Small to the newly created role of head of strategy.

Former Droga 5 creative director Cam Blackley has joined BMF as executive creative director. Blackley’s career has included work for brands Carlton United Breweries, Kraft, Cadbury, Sainsbury's, British Telecom, Tracfone, Virgin Australia, The Economist, Nicorette and ING Direct Bank.

Dixons Retail has appointed former Telefonica Europe’s Gary Booker as chief marketing officer for UK and Ireland as part of plans to “revitalise” its marketing. Booker, who was previously CMO of Telefonica Europe, replaces former Dixons Retail marketing director Andrea Silver.

McCann Worldgroup has hired Rob Reilly as global creative chairman.

Former MEC international managing partner Matt Adams has joined DigitasLBi as deputy head of UK media. Prior to MEC Adams held roles with a number of media owners such as Yahoo Europe, IPC Media, Maiden Outdoor and TradeDoubler.

Malaysian creative agency Dentsu Utama has appointed Wong Shu Kor as creative director and Makoto Sawada as creative director/digital creative director. Wong joins the agency from his prior role as creative director of Mega Brands & Solutions.

Bronwyn Cooper has left Ikon to join OMD as strategy group head. At Ikon she formerly worked on accounts for CBA Group and Westfield.
