The Drum extends publisher and ad-tech vendor categories for Digital Trading Awards

January 9, 2014 | 2 min read

The Drum has extended its award categories for its forthcoming Digital Trading Awards, created to reward best practice, efficiency, clarity and transparency in the online ad-tech ecosystem.

The awards, which take place on 24 April at the Marriott Grosvenor square in London, will now include three additional categories in which companies can submit entries:

Most Innovative Publisher

This award recognises the publisher who can show innovation in working with advertisers, sponsors and agencies across the judging period.

Best ad-tech platform (buy-side)

This category is for all ad-tech vendors to demonstrate how their solution optimises the buy-side experience for advertisers and agencies. The judges will be looking for examples of efficiency, transparency and clarity and especially why the solution is better than its competition.

Best ad-tech solution (sell-side)

This category is for all ad-tech vendors to demonstrate how their solution optimises the sell-side experience for advertisers and agencies. The judges will be looking for examples of efficiency, increase in yield transparency and clarity and especially why the solution is better than its competition.

Andy Oakes, head of media solutions at The Drum said: “We have listened to the market and included these new categories. We want to recognise the whole market and those who excel within it."

The awards, sponsored by Xaxis, BrightRoll, Essence, Integral Ad Science, MediaMath, Millennial Media, Propel, Quantcast, Strike Ad and TubeMogul, comprise 16 categories in total, with all other categories available to see here.

Entries are open at digitaltradingawards and the deadline for entries is 6 February.
