Burger King is reviewing its global creative account after splitting from Mother New York, the agency it appointed less than a year ago. Burger King North America will continue to work with long-term creative agency, Pitch. The move comes as part of a number of changes the fast food chain has made to its agency roster, having this week named Code and Theory as its digital agency of record, replacing Big Fuel, and bringing in Horizon Media at the end of 2013 to handle its media planning and buying.

Argos is undertaking a review of its advertising account to focus on digital, said to be worth £55 million. The account is held by incumbent agency CHI.

The advertising account for insurer Direct Line is under review, with agencies invited to an open pitch for the £46 million business.

Account wins

Shapewear brand Fit Britches has hired Avant PR to handle all media and celebrity activity. The value of the account has been undisclosed, however Avant PR has confirmed it is one of its biggest accounts.

William Hill has awarded its creative advertising account, said to be worth £15 million, to Creature after a competitive pitch.

Online retailer of technical and high performance sportswear Sport-Pursuit has selected Driven as its creative partner, tasked with developing its brand and communication strategy.

TBWA/Korea has been appointed as lead creative agency for outdoor clothing and equipment brand Black Yak, following a two stage pitch process. TBWA was appointed following a five-way tender.

Evermore, a provider of housing and lifestyle options for those aged 80 and over has appointed Claremont Communications to spearhead a new campaign to change public perceptions of the growing demographic.

Benefit Cosmetics has appointed 1000heads to handle its social media strategy following a four way pitch.

Sport brand Mitre has announced the appointment of Mercieca to handle its consumer PR. The agency will be responsible for consumer and media activation.

Dixons Retail has appointed 1000heads to provide social media activity for its Currys and PC World brands in the UK. The agency has been tasked with supporting the brands’ social strategies.
