The adverts are to be placed in countries including Argentina, China, Colombia, Spain, Guatemala, India, England, Japan and Panama. Coca Cola is one of the sponsors of the football tournament.

"We wanted to give the Brazilians the possibility to take all the warmth of these people and so famous for their hospitality for the whole world to feel that this World Cup will be special,” said Javier Meza, vice president of marketing for Coca-Cola Brazil.

The ads feature images of citizens of Brazil. The photos will be posted regularly via a social media campaign.
