Former global SVP digital foods at Unilever Andy Porteous has joined Coley Porter Bell as a non-executive director, with Georgina Goode moving from Wolff Olins to take on the role of head of client services at the agency as it continues to implement its growth plans.

Having expanded operations during the last five years, Porteous will help Coley Porter Bell deepen its relationship with clients. Using the experience of his 26 years at Unilever Porteous has been briefed by the agency to help bring a client perspective to its business as well as strengthen its digital offering.

As well as holding the role of global SVP digital foods at Unilever, Porteous also spent time working as marketing director Unilever foods Poland and global brand SVP for a portfolio of Unilever brands.

“I’ve enjoyed working with Coley Porter Bell as a client for the best part of two decades. Now I am looking forward to seeing how the client perspective can contribute to their growth strategy,” said Porteous.

Ex-Wolff Olins business director Goude will also bolster the agency’s senior management team. Prior to Wolff Olins Goude worked with brand design agency Heavenly as a principal and spent five years with Interbrand as a senior account director and then as head of client services.

Of her appointment, Goude commented: “I have long admired the work that Coley Porter Bell do and am excited by their brands and their ambition. I am looking forward to being part of the team that will take Coley Porter Bell into its next phase of growth.”

Coley Porter Bell CEO Vicky Bullen added: “We are fortunate to have found two individuals of such a high caliber to help our business. Andy has insight into what clients want at the very highest levels, while Georgina has a track record as a superb builder of client relationships. We want them to help us grow not only our numbers but also other aspects of the business such as our fame, the breadth of our offer, our client list and the quality of our work.”

Porteous takes up his role in January with Goude starting this week.
