Opposition leader joins Twitter outrage at Corey Bernardi after ‘pro-death’ remarks
Australian opposition leader Bill Shorten has accused Liberal senator Corey Bernardi of demonising those who undertake legal termination of pregnancy. In a book he has authored entitled ‘The Conservative Revolution’, Bernardi describes terminations as "an abhorrent form of birth control" and described those who support the practice as "pro-death".His comments drew an immediate social media backlash, which Bill Shorten contributed to.Shorten tweeted: “These families should have advocates and supporters – not people like you trying to demonise them.”Bernardi, who has in excess of 11,000 followers on Twitter, follows no one.

Corey Bernardi is obviously an abhorrent human. I'm not going to get angry at him - I'm angry at his constituents that voted for him #auspol
