Sales website Gumtree.com has announced the launch of a national advertising campaign on over 4000 outdoor sites.

It says that the scale of the campaign will result in 62 percent of the population having seven chances to see adverts.

“Everybody has something they’d like to buy or sell. Our new campaign reminds people that Gumtree is the place for buying and selling second-hand goods, whatever the season,” Sam Diamond, Head of Marketing at Gumtree said.

“Outdoor advertising is a great way to get people’s attention and point them to Gumtree. There’s even more advertising to come from Gumtree this quarter, so watch this space.”

Last week it was reported that a mother in the UK has had her children taken away after she reportedly tried to sell a baby on Gumtree for £150,000 pounds/$A278,000.
