BSkyB has made an equity investment in Californian tech start-up video display and capture company, Jaunt.

The UK broadcaster has made an equity investment of $350,000 in the company, based in Palo Alto, which it has said in a short statement, will allow it to provide ‘additional insight’ into ‘developments within the field’.

Jaunt, founded earlier this year, currently employs no more than 10 people and describes itself on its LinkedIn page as “a revolutionary new way to experience the world.”

It goes onto explain that its technology combines “computational photography, statistical algorithms, massively parallel processing, cutting-edge hardware and virtual reality.”

Meanwhile, it’s website currently consists of its logo and the statement ‘stay tuned…’
