Facebook has appointed the former executive creative director of Apple’s Media Arts Lab ad agency, Scott Trattner, in the same role.

Appointment: Scott Trattner has joined Facebook

Trattner joined Apple’s ad agency – a unit set up within TBWA specifically for the Apple account - in 2004 and worked on the creative development, direction and execution in campaigns for the iPad, iPhone, Mac, iPod, iPod touch, iPod nano, iPod shuffle, iTunes and iCloud.

Gary Briggs, Facebook CMO, said: “Scott will be a great addition to our team at Facebook. His previous work has demonstrated the type of inventive thinking and willingness to push creative boundaries that will be enormously valuable to us.”

Trattner added: “Facebook’s brand is unique, young and inspired by the hundreds of millions of people who connect with it every single day.

“It’s an opportunity to work with a fascinating global brand, and an excellent team led by Gary Briggs and Rebecca Van Dyck.”

Prior to his work in advertising, Trattner worked as a graphic designer and interactive art director.
