Epiphany, the Leeds-based digital marketing agency, has become the first in the UK to invest in Google's ground-breaking education initiative 'Squared Online' across 2014.

The Squared Online Certificate in Digital Marketing Qualification is a ground breaking education initiative led by Google and e-Learning experts Home Learning College. The marketing course has been created by Google in collaboration with leading employers to meet the need for high calibre digital talent and leadership.

The agency is sending 20 members of its 140 strong team through the programme next year.

Epiphany Group CEO Rob Shaw said: “Recruiting and retaining exceptional people is at the core of our business. Our significant investment in Squared is part of our commitment to our staff, helping them to develop their careers and giving our clients access to a plentiful pool of digital expertise. It’s rare to find a marketing education initiative that fits our business needs so perfectly, giving our people the tools and knowledge to recognise emerging opportunities in digital marketing”.

The digital marketing course is taught online over 6 months and features high profile guest speakers such as Sir John Hegarty and Ogilvy’s Rory Sutherland. Epiphany’s team will progress with a post-graduate level certificate endorsed by Google and certified by the IPA.

Sarah Tate, Squared Programme Lead at Google said: “Squared is a very collaborative and interactive network, not just an education programme. It empowers the leaders of today and tomorrow to drive change in a communications landscape constantly disrupted by emerging technology. We’re delighted to welcome Epiphany to the initiative”.

Epiphany’s team starts the course in January 2014.
