Heinz Salad Cream unveils radio ad to encourage consumers to ‘bring on the zing’ on Boxing Day

Heinz Salad Cream is set to unveil a radio ad, voiced by Fast Show actor Mark Williams, with the aim of urging to use the sauce when eating their Christmas Day leftovers on Boxing Day.

The ad looks to promote a “bauble-sized dollop” of Heinz Salad Cream as being able to revitalise traditional Christmas leftovers including turkey, pork pies and honey roast ham.

The £273,000 advertising campaign, created by AMV BBDO, will air from 13 – 24 December.

Paula Nelms, senior brand manager for Heinz Salad Cream, said: “The Christmas campaign is designed to remind consumers that Heinz Salad Cream isn’t just perfect for those hot summer barbeques. With its incredibly unique taste it’s also the ideal way to bring to life some of their favourite festive foods.

“Furthermore, as the effects of the recession continue to resonate with consumers, a helping hand from an affordable condiment such as Heinz Salad Cream ensures that they can enjoy their Christmas leftovers in a multitude of ways, without additional expense.”

The campaign will be supported via Facebook activation on the Heinz Salad Cream page and price promotions in selected retailers.
