Aesop acquires UK arm of Story Worldwide for undisclosed sum

Aesop has acquired the London arm of full-service creative agency Story Worldwide in a bid to accelerate its growth.

The UK presence of Story Worldwide includes a team of planners, creatives, content editors, account managers and localization experts, working with clients such as Johnson & Johnson, Medtronic, Westfield and Smith & Nephew.

The agency has begun being integrated within Aesop, and will work out of its London offices in Golden Square.

“Story UK is a perfect fit for Aesop” said Roger Hart, CEO, Aesop Agency. “We share the same philosophy and they bring complementary skills – digital, social and content – that will augment and strengthen our offering and make us even better storytellers, bridging brand and communications. It was also a fantastic opportunity to bring on board exceptional talent with a shared vision and ambition. This is an exciting time – both for us and our clients.”

The agency would not reveal the cost of the acquisition, while a spokesman revealed that 15 of the 'core staff; from Story London including Nick Dutnall, head of health, Igor Pancaldi, Story’s creative director and Stephanie Waismann, head of planning, having made the move over, with The Drum informed that no redundancies have been made in the process.

Aesop already works with clients such as HSBC; Shell; Pernod Ricard; Warner Leisure Hotels, Greenvale, Andy Murray and Marina Port Vell.
