Wayne Rooney misses out on a golf hole in one (Nike's World Cup ball is just too big)
There is nothing like a golf ball for perfect flight. So that is why Nike’s colourful new football the Ordem was inspired by golf ball design “with unrivaled flight control through aedrodynamic grooves”.
This is the official FIFA World Cup 2014 ball . So Nike chose to launch it on a golf course with soccer superstar Wayne Rooney and pro golfer Rory McIlroy competing .
There’s a great moment at the first tee when Rooney supposedly surprises McIlroy by bringing out the new Ordem ball. Roonney demonstrates great golf skills,even sending the ball skipping over a water trap and a hole-in-one being foiled by the ball's size.
There's another surprise in this great fun video: Brazilian soccer ace Ronaldo heads the final shot. As for the soundtrack: what better than Frank Sinatra's classic " Straight Down the Middle”.
