Cunard is set to search for a new advertising agency after Nexus/H resigned the account.

The integrated agency, which won the advertising account seven years ago, revealed that it had resigned the Cunard creative account in order to focus on "building relationships with brave brands" that it can help drive business transformation and help outperform in the sector,

Tom Poynter, managing director of Nexus/H said that the agency had brought the cruise ship operator into the 21st century.

“We firmly believe in the values and qualities of a client agency relationship and wish to work with brands who are willing to invest and commit to a partnership. The Cunard business has gone through a lot of change over the last 18 months and we felt our views and ambitions were becoming quite different. We wish them all the success for the future and we are now looking to ensure we can apply our cruise knowledge to a new challenger brand within the category."

On its appointment in 2006, following a competitive pitch, Nexus/H was appointed to run Cunard's advertising and media buying.
