SPOTV has been announced as Manchester United’s latest partner, signing a three-year arrangement with the club to bring its dedicated TV channel, MUTV, to Korea.

SPOTV, operated by Eclat Entertainment, was launched in 2010 and reaches over nine million households in Korea.

Of the deal, Manchester United’s group managing director, Richard Arnold, said: “This partnership with SPOTV represents a fantastic opportunity for Manchester United’s 15 million followers in Korea to further engage with the Club. Through our partnership with SPOTV our fans can access MUTV and experience behind-the-scenes footage, exclusive interviews as well as live match commentary.”

Mitch Hong, CEO of Eclat Entertainment, added: “We are delighted to be joining with Manchester United to provide exclusive content and access from the Club, directly to our customers in Korea. The Club has a huge following in the country and this partnership with MUTV will provide exciting content from the one of the biggest sports organisations in world.”

The partnership follows the announcement of similar sponsorship deals with Unilever in South East Asia, Banif Bank in Malta, Fiji TV in the South Pacific, and Apollo Tyres in the UK and India.
