Oscar-winning director Kevin Macdonald has celebrated the world-premiere of his new documentary film, Christmas in a Day, at a special screening at BAFTA in London ahead of its official YouTube release yesterday (29 November).

Macdonald was joined on the red carpet by the film’s real-life stars who opened their doors to the filmmaker last Christmas to make the film, which has since been used to form this year’s Christmas campaign for supermarket Sainsbury’s.

Christmas in a Day aims to capture the real British Christmas and follows Macdonald’s acclaimed film for YouTube, Life in a Day, and was produced by Ridley Scott Associates and Scott Free London.
