Google has taken its ‘Street View’ service indoors launching interactive maps allowing users to explore airports and train stations the world over.

The latest addition to ‘Street View’ includes16 international airports, including London Gatwick Airport, more than 50 train and subway stations, museums and even the inside of a plane.

Google has said the latest development is merely a “first effort” and that it plans to add more transit Street Views.

A spokesperson commented: “Street View can help you cut down the stress of traveling by giving you a preview of your journey.

“You can visit the check-in counter of your airline in Madrid, map out the way from baggage claim to the bus at Tokyo International Airport and check out where to pick up your rental car at Eindhoven Airport.”

This is not the first time Google has taken Street View inside, earlier in the year Tesco’s revamped Watford store featured on the service, with the cameras capturing every angle of the new shop which includes a Giraffe restaurant and a community room for yoga and music lessons.
