Generating fresh, innovative and challenging ideas is vital to the success of any agency business, but equally as important is then selling those great strategic and creative ideas and insights into your current clients and prospective clients at pitch time.

Tessa Morton gets hands on during a recent session

In January 2014 The Drum and MiNetwork is to host a full day training course in Central London that will address these two important areas of business to ensure that 2014 is the year for you and your agency to shine on the business development front.

The morning training workshop will focus on the creative thinking process and the creation of great ideas and will be hosted by leading creative thinking trainer Gordon Brown, the founder of Brain Juice Training. Gordon has been a professional marketer for some 25 years, many of those years spent working on the client side, and now he works with marketing agencies and clients internationally to demonstrate how through his Brain Juice creative thinking system they can generate more and better quality ideas and solutions to their client’s business and marketing challenges.

The afternoon training session will then focus on how you can communicate and deliver your great ideas to current and potential clients with increased impact and improved clarity. This interactive workshop session will be delivered by trained theatre actress Tessa Morton, who approaches the often daunting prospect of speaking in public and presenting in pitches from that of a theatre performer. Her session will introduce you to and demonstrate many of the techniques that actors use to deliver high impact and memorable performances in order to take their audiences on a journey.

Richard Draycott, managing director of MiNetwork and associate editor of The Drum, said: “Having gone through workshops with both Gordon and Tessa in the last year I can guarantee that they both deliver incredibly passionate and comprehensive training sessions, ideal for professionals working in agencies who either want to freshen up their approach to generating ideas and delivering those ideas or for those who simply want to have more input into the creative process within their agency.

“Both Gordon and Tessa approach their subjects in a very hands on fashion and delegates will not simply sit scribbling notes all day, but will be forced to consider some of the challenges they are facing at the moment and explore a wide range of ways of answering those challenges as the day goes along.”

The training day takes place in London on Thursday 23rd January from 9am to 5pm and includes lunch for all delegates.

Early Bird tickets for the training day are available to buy online priced at £245 until Friday 20th December. To book your tickets please click here.

MiNetwork members can access the special rate ticket price of £225 for the full day training course.
