Aegis Media has created a new agency brand to service its media and digital creative needs.

Melissa Roberts and Aaron Tobin

The spin off, Huckleberry, replaces the service formerly provided by Havas Media and digital creative agency Rodeo.

The Melbourne based brand is serviced by 60 staff, and run by Melissa Roberts serving as MD of media, and Aaron Tobin as MD of creative.

"Huckleberry is built on strong people and teams, bringing together two agencies with strength in media and digital creative services to form one fully integrated full service offering,” Roberts said.

"As separate agencies, our approach to building communications solutions for clients was very much in line. Together, we have a very strong offer in combining the digital and creative expertise of Rodeo with the media and strategic clout of my team.

"It's important to note that we will continue to work with other agency partners both inside Aegis Media and externally, continuing the strong industry relationships that we have in place."

Tobin said: "This is a great opportunity to build on our collective service offering for clients, creating a business with the skill set to deliver complete communications solutions, right from insight to delivery to market.

"Both teams are consumer led with a focus on exceptional strategy and insights. The diverse skill set of Huckleberry ensures that we have the ability to create the most effective campaigns for our clients across multiple disciplines."

The brand has launched as the contract binding the group to sue the Havas Media brand in Australia came to an end.
