Telegraph Media Group announces media partnership with England Hockey

Telegraph Media Group has announced a media partnership with England Hockey, which will include the 2014 Rabobank Hockey World Cup and the Commonwealth Games.

The partnership, which will run until August 2014, and will see TMG unveil a dedicated online Hockey Channel on The Telegraph website, Telegraph Hockey, populated with editorial coverage of hockey news, interviews and results from England’s Men’s and Women’s Leagues.

“This partnership with England Hockey is a great feat for TMG and goes to show our dedication and commitment to sports and especially to hockey,” said Nick Green, sports sponsorship manager, TMG, said. “We look forward to working with England Hockey throughout this exciting hockey season and in the lead up to the 2014 Hockey World Cup next June.”

Jonathan Cockcroft, commercial and membership director, England Hockey, added: “On the back of a successful London 2012, both on and off the field, hockey is growing in prominence and this exciting partnership will raise the visibility of international and club hockey further. We are looking forward to working with the TMG to provide engaging content for their readers and hope that it will inspire people to take a greater interest in the sport.”

The partnership will also see The Daily Telegraph’s Sport section carry coverage and results from the previous weekend’s leading club matches every Monday.
