Disney’s move business has appointed OMD to handle its $800m media responsibilities with a pitch.

According to Adweek, the move means that staffers from the incumbent agency, Publicis Groupe's 4D, will follow the business to OMD.

This follows Disney splitting its $1bn media spent between Publicis and Carat in March 2011.

This move saw Publicis Groupe hold responsibility for studio, home entertainment and interactive gaming, and Carat responsible for theme parks and resorts.
