TBWA\Chiat\Day New York has brought in two new creative directors and a design director to its creative team to work on growing client accounts, including Mondelēz and the new BNY Mellon win.

Erik Holmdahl and Beth Ryan have joined TBWA\Chiat\Day New York as creative directors, predominantly leading the creative for Jameson, having both previously served at Mother.

At Mother, Holmdahl and Ryan led creative projects for Stella Artois and Microsoft.

Prior to Mother, Holmdahl worked at BBH and StrawberryFrog while Ryan spent seven years at BBH, four in New York and three in Singapore.

They report to executive creative director, Matt Ian, who commented: "We hear the term "hybrid creative" thrown around a lot, but I haven't met too many who are genuinely ambidextrous. When I worked with them at BBH, I quickly came to realize that Beth and Erik are as strong digitally as they are with the traditional work. They think simply and inventively. They can give you an innovative idea for an app or a digital platform, and then turn around and hit a home run with a TV script.”

In addition to the creative duo joining the team, former director of design at Anomaly, Melatan Riden, has also been named design director at the New York agency, with Ian saying “she will push the quality of branding design for TBWA\Chiat\Day New York and our clients”.
