Sky Go, the mobile TV service, has announced the addition of 14 entertainment channels to its line-up, additions which it says give it the widest range of entertainment channels of any operator.

Amongst the 14 new stations are Comedy Central, MTV, Dave, Watch, Gold, Discovery, Nat Geo and History which are now available to subscribers with compatible devices and a 3G/4G or Wi-Fi signal.

Shows such as Dynamo: Magician Impossible, Geordie Shore and Crackanory are amongst the highlights of the 57 channel service, which also includes a range of Sky Sports and Movies channels.

Luke Bradley-Jones, Sky’s brand director of TV Products, commented: “Sky Go has gone from strength to strength since it launched in July 2011 and now attracts over 3 million unique users quarterly. The addition of these new channels is part of our continued commitment to provide our customers with a great TV experience whenever and wherever they want it, all at no extra cost. Customers now have even more choice and flexibility whether they want to watch TV Box Sets, live Barclays Premier League football, the latest blockbusters from Sky Movies or awarding-winning drama from a wider range of entertainment channels.”

Sky Go received in excess of 3m on-demand requests during the second week of October with 219,000 upgrading their service to Sky Go Extra to enable more devices and content.
