Havas Media has announced changes to its managing partners team, promoting Kate Cox to the role of managing partner, strategy and ideas and appointing Fiona McCann as managing partner, head of client leadership.

Cox replaces Hamid Habib as managing partner for strategy and ideas following his move to OMD UK earlier this year. Since joining Havas Media in 2002 as strategy director Cox has worked with a number of clients including the National Lottery, Orange, AXA, P&O Ferries and EDF Energy. Her new role sees Cox lead the team to develop strategies that will help clients stand out in the marketplace, make more meaningful connections with audiences and deliver stand out ideas.

Cox said: “I’m really excited to get stuck into my new role at Havas Media. It will allow me to do what I enjoy most - get under the skin of how to best integrate traditional and new communication channels, ideas and opportunities and work out ways of understanding their effectiveness.”

McCann joins Havas Media from Tag where she held the role of director and prior to that worked as managing partner at MEC. At Havas Media McCann takes responsibility for client relationships, leading digital dialogue and bringing together the agencies talent to connect paid, owned and earned to deliver on the clients business objectives.

McCann added: “I was drawn to Havas Media because of its dynamic client-centric model and the unique combination of digital capabilities and specialisms to deliver innovative integrated solutions. I feel excited about the opportunity of taking the agency’s client leadership to the next level.”

Natasha Murray, managing director of Havas Media, said the company was “thrilled” to welcome Cox and McCann to their new roles.
