Atlantis Resources has unveiled its new strategic brand identity designed by SomeOne.

Appointed to the account three months ago based on a credentials pitch, the brand identity uses tidal maps as its design theme as for more than a decade Atlantis has pioneered the development of tidal current power as a predictable source of reliable, economic and secure renewable energy.

“The team at SomeOne have been a class act bringing our brand up to a level where we are causing quite a stir in the green energy sector. Not only was the strategic response spot-on and right first time, they delivered a cohesive solutions for us under considerable time pressures — the entire organisation is delighted with the outcome and we look forward to using it to spearhead the significant developments we have in development,” said Atlantis Resources CEO Timothy Cornelius.

Developed to work across multi-channel applications, from business cards to digital presentation tools, the brand identity features a large pattern system emanating from a central ‘A’ which can either be used in its entirety or paired back to a simple mark.

Of the identity, executive creative director at SomeOne, Simon Manchipp, commented: “The brands tidal pattern is intriguing and visually striking. It provokes people to start asking questions, to get the details behind this incredibly powerful sustainable energy solution. The new visual identity is there to signal change and open a conversation about tidal power. It’s designed to help start a dialogue — because when people experience the ‘penny drop moment’ they become evangelical about the opportunities this technology presents.”

SomeOne continue to work with Atlantis on strategic design work.
